On May 18, under the joint witness of the Chairman and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev, Yu Jianhua, Director General of the General Administration of Customs of China, signed the "Arrangement between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Customs Committee of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Mutual Recognition of the "Authorized Business Operator" System with the Minister of Investment of Uzbekistan Kudragov at the "China-Central Asia Summit". China Customs became the first Authorized Business Operator (AEO) mutual recognition partner of Uzbekistan Customs.
Uzbekistan is a friendly neighbor of China, a member of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. China and Ukraine are important partners of each other, with a total trade value of 65.13 billion yuan in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 25.2%. After the implementation of the Mutual Recognition Arrangement, AEO enterprises of the two countries will enjoy a lower inspection rate of imported goods, priority inspection of goods requiring physical inspection, the establishment of enterprise coordinators, priority customs clearance after the interruption and resumption of international trade, etc., to help AEO enterprises greatly reduce the customs clearance time of goods, significantly reduce their warehousing, logistics and other trade costs, further improve the level of trade facilitation between the two countries, and create a good environment for promoting high-level opening up and jointly building the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".
